ABOUT LAWYERS FOR LEARNING
Lawyers for Learning is a section of the Monroe County Bar Association committed to connecting members of the legal community who volunteer as mentors at Rochester City School District’s Henry Hudson School No. 28 at 450 Humboldt St., Rochester, NY 14610. School 28 is an elementary school grades Pre-K through 6, and also hosts a large number of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Bilingual (Spanish) students.
Volunteers for Lawyers for Learning spend one hour per week during the school year working in a classroom to help improve academic performance, build self-esteem, provide professional role-modeling and increase self-confidence.

History
The Lawyer’s for Learning section of the Monroe County Bar Association was started 30 years ago by current MCBA President, Brad Kammholz. Brad has long held a passion for helping students, which resulted in the formation of Lawyers for Learning in our Greater Rochester community.
Mission
To provide volunteer assistance and mentorship through members of the Monroe County Bar Association and Monroe County legal community to students in the Rochester City School District who are academically at risk or disadvantaged in order to improve their academic performance, build self-esteem, and increase self-confidence.
