This seminar will provide assistance with the drafting of QDRO's/pension orders for both defined contribution (e.g. 401(k) plans) and defined benefit plans (e.g. government plans). Sample orders will be provided along with sample language for separation agreements. The pitfalls of not preparing these orders as part of the separation agreement, which is a common practice, will be addressed along with the best practice of having all pension orders prepared contemporaneous with the divorce instead of years later.
